Pet loss and grief counselling supports individuals navigating the profound loss of a beloved animal companion, offering validation, understanding, and space to grieve without judgment.

The pain of losing a pet is not only after they pass. It can be watching them age and slow down, living with anticipatory grief, facing difficult decisions, experiencing the uncertainty of a lost pet, or losing access due to separation or life changes.

At HGT Counselling, pet loss grief is not minimized or treated as something to simply “move on” from. It is honoured for what it is: love that ran deep.

This work offers compassionate support and steady guidance as you move through grief in your own way and at your own pace.

Family counselling provides a structured and supportive space where each voice can be heard with respect and care. Whether you are navigating ongoing tension, communication breakdowns, life transitions, or long-standing patterns that feel stuck, sessions focus on understanding how family dynamics are unfolding — and how they can shift.

Together, we will explore roles, boundaries, and patterns of interaction while identifying shared goals for change. The process is collaborative and grounded in strengthening communication, rebuilding trust where needed, and creating clearer, healthier ways of relating.

Family work is not about placing blame. It is about increasing understanding, accountability, and connection so that each member can move forward with greater clarity and stability.

Kelly brings over 23 years of experience supporting couples through complex and emotionally charged circumstances. Her work has centered around high-conflict dynamics, intimate partner violence, attachment disruption, and the long-term impact of adversity on relationships.

She understands how past experiences and unresolved stress can surface in intimate relationships, and she helps partners slow down, deepen understanding, and rebuild safety and communication.

Her approach is trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and collaborative. Kelly is deeply committed to creating therapeutic environments grounded in respect, accountability, and meaningful repair.

Outside of her work, Kelly finds restoration near the beach, in her garden, and in the company of her loved ones. She is a devoted mother, partner, pet parent, and grandmother, and brings the same grounded presence into her personal life that she offers in the therapy room.
